MUSIC.  TECH.  ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

The Future of The Music Industry

WHAT IS PROJECT MUSIC?

Project Music Vertical

Project Music is the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s leading action to support innovation within the music industry, a core business vertical in Nashville's economy.   Our efforts including access to the Preflight pre-accelerator program to the MusicPreneur education series to the Project Music Accelerator are in place to provide year round support for music-minded entrepreneurs who are building music-driven startups.

We recognize that music centric startups have unique need, therefore we're bringing music, tech and business leaders together to nurture startups desiring to grow music industry revenue.

The focus is built on four tentpole areas of influence that include an annual 3+ month-long accelerator program:

CURRICULUM, CONNECTIONS, CAPITAL, CHARITY

AREAS OF INFLUENCE

CURRICULUM

PreFlight (EC):
The Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s premier educational program for entrepreneurs with idea stage startups looking to create a foundation for launching their businesses. The program is built on entrepreneurial education for those who want to turn their idea into a reality, but may not be able to commit full time yet. This is an opportunity to “kick the tires” on a concept and get a taste of the entrepreneur life. PreFlight is also a match for entrepreneurs who eventually want to apply to an accelerator program, giving participants the opportunity to build a foundation in customer development, product-market fit and identifying a unique selling proposition in preparation for launching their business. The program is open to startups from all industries.

The next Pre-Flight Session at the EC is currently closed, but the same program is open in Williamson County. Details and registration info here.

MusicPreneur:

MusicPreneur is an annual 3-part series dedicated to empowering music-minded entrepreneurs and young entertainment professionals to change the future of music through their careers and endeavors. For the third consecutive year, the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) is partnering with the Music City Music Council (MC2) and Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP). The 2016 sessions are specifically designed to address the needs and questions identified through a survey of YEP membership. Register here.
